LIMITING WATERSHEED MODEL

Share to you about how to limit the region for the case KINEROS model: Modeling hydrology at the small area of the large Basin.

KINEROS is modeling to analyze system of the hydrologic cycle. Phase Land: Land Surface Runoff, Erosion Potential intensity of the infiltration, Phase On River: River Discharge, Sediment Discharge on the river.
KINEROS only for hydrological modeling with watershed area <100 km2. So if you want to analyze a small part of catchment area wich have large area, you have to limiting  area of the modeling KINEROS of yours.

This is method for limiting Watersheed Model :

1.      Build the DEM file as topographic data  whole of watershed, so that you know where is area which will analysed by you.

2.      Prepare your analysis area in the form of polygon SHP format

3.      opened Arcview and turn on the 3D Analyst extension, Spatial Analyt, and Raster CRWR

4.      Open the Theme file of the above

5.      In  CRWR Raster tools, select  clip Grid with Polygon

6.      Then you will have a  DEM file only area in the area of your analysis

7.      Use the File DEM results of Clip for running Kineros Model

8.      Certainly the KINEROS results of your analysis is incorrect,  for result at phase of the river, this way of course is only for modeling analysis phase in the land alone, I hope you understand why.
